With Certified Organic Brazilian Red Palm Fruit Oil

A tasty roasted and nutritious treat for birds. Harrison's transition feed can be provided in dry or wet condition, in whole pieces or mashed. 

  • Can be used as the only food source to aid in weaning, changing a bird’s diet from seeds to Harrison’s Bird Foods or as a supplement for birds already fed Harrison’s Bird Foods that need extra energy following an illness.
  • Beneficial to birds with dry flaky skin (beak, nails), balding of the feet, lack of sheen and proper color to feathers.
  • Beneficial to most aging birds.
  • Beneficial to certain species known to eat high oil diets.
  • High antioxidant content (vitamin E and coenzyme Q10).
  • High carotenoid content (precursors to vitamin A).
  • Good balance of essential fatty acids.

Because of the sweet nutty flavor accept most parrots Harrisons transition feed spontaneously. The addition of palm oil from an Indonesian dwarf palm gives a higher content of vitamin E and coenzyme Q10, as well as polyunsaturated fatty acids.
After the conversion, it should only be given as treats in the recommended amount.

Recommended daily amount: 3
Smaller birds 1 tsp (2 g)
Medium-sized birds 3 teaspoons (6 g)
Large birds 1-3 tablespoons (10-30 grams)
